Patna Metro Update: The expansion work of Patna Metro is nearing completion, with the construction on Malahi Pakadi station almost complete. The new station is expected to be operational by January 2026. Currently, the metro operates between ISBT to Zero Mile and Bhootnath.

Once inaugurated, the metro will cover a distance of 6.5 kilometres, connecting ISBT to Malahi Pakadi via Khemnichak, and continuing to Bhootnath, Live Hindustan reported. However, metro trains will not stop at Khemichak station as construction work on this station has not begun yet.

Patna Metro Update: Malahi Pakadi Station Near Completion

The construction on Malahi Pakadi station on the Patna Metro's Corridor is rapidly approaching its final stages.

- Civil and structural work on Malahi Pakadi station is nearing full completion and is expected to be operational by next year.

 Construction of the Khemnichak metro station has not started yet due to delays in land acquisition. According to officials, once the land is acquired, construction will take approximately six months to complete. Till then, stations will not stop at Khemnichak metro station.

The Patna Metro has been operational on the 2.9-kilometre route between ISBT and Bhootnath since October 6. The construction on Malahi Pakadi station is expected to be completed by December, followed by an official inauguration in January.

Patna Metro Update: Fee Structure For Extension To Malahi Pakadi

The fees for the Patna metro have been finalised and are based on the distance.

- The fare is Rs 15 for travel distances of up to three kilometres, the Live Hindustan report added.

- The fare is Rs 30 for travel distances between three and six kilometres.

Currently, the passengers travelling on the operational segment from Bhhotnath to ISBT are charged Rs 15. However, when the metro line is extended to Malahi Pakadi, the fare from ISBT to Malahi Pakari will be Rs 30.
