Patna News: The travel between Gandhi Maidan and NIT will become easier from June 11, Wednesday. The construction of the first double-decker flyover on Ashoka Rajpath in Patna has been completed. For this project, the service lane has been widened in public interest by breaking the boundary of BN College, Saint Mary's Church, Pirbahor Police Station, PMCH and Patna University. Now, there will be two parallel service lanes of 5.5 metres on the surface, arrival from Krishna Ghat towards BN College from the first floor flyover and departure from Kargil Chowk towards NIT from the second floor, jagran.com reported.

Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation has constructed this double-decker flyover in a densely populated area at a cost of more than Rs 422 crore. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone of this project on September 4, 2021. It will be inaugurated on 11 June.

Four Ways To Reach PMCH

After the double decker flyover is operational, four alternative routes will be available for patients to any part of the state. A route for movement from Didarganj and Digha was already available via JP Ganga Path.

The service lane and both lanes of the double decker flyover from Gandhi Maidan and Patna Sahib can go directly to the parking of PMCH. Three separate lanes from the multi-level parking at PMCH will be connected to Ashoka Rajpath and the double decker flyover.

After climbing the Ubal Dekar flyover, there will be no option to change lanes between Kargil Chowk and NIT. There will be a facility to get down directly from Gandhi Maidan to NIT and from Krishna Ghat near BN College. You can commute through the service lane on the Civil Court, Pirbahor, Patna Market, Govind Mitra Road, Makhanian Kuan Road, Khazanchi Road and Patna College surface.
