Patna News: A video that recently went viral on social media, showing a young man threatening a girl with a pistol on Ganga Path (popularly known as Patna's Marine Drive), sparked outrage and concern among viewers.
In the clip, the young man appears to confront a girl, allegedly his ex-girlfriend, who was seen riding with another man on a KTM motorcycle. When he objected, the girl reportedly taunted him, questioning his “status,” prompting the youth to brandish a gun in response.
The dramatic visuals quickly gained traction online, raising alarm over public safety and prompting police intervention.

Speaking on the matter, Superintendent of Police (Central), Patna, stated: "The video was made purely for entertainment and all the individuals involved are acquaintances. Still, we are taking the matter seriously, and appropriate legal action is being initiated."
Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of action under relevant sections for creating public panic and misusing firearms- real or otherwise.
The incident once again highlights growing concerns over the misuse of social media platforms to generate sensational content, often without regard for public safety or the legal implications involved.
