Patna Weather Update: The maximum temperature in Patna has surged by 3.9 degrees Celsius, increasing the struggle with hot weather. The IMD forecast indicates relief for residents from scorching weather and a heatwave, as an Orange Alert has been issued in Patna. The weather department anticipates strong winds at a speed of 30-40 kilometres per hour.

The lowest temperature on Thursday is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius. With the anticipation of 25 per cent rain, Patna is likely to witness cloudy weather on coming Monday, but the forecast signals the comeback of hot weather. The mercury in the capital is likely to breach the mark of 40 degrees Celsius on coming Wednesday, with the temperature poised to surge to 42 and 43 degrees Celsius on next Thursday and Friday.

The Meteorological Centre Patna has issued a yellow alert for strong winds blowing at a speed of 40-50 km/h in 26 districts, including the capital, Samastipur, Vaishali, until May 4. These winds are expected to be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in some areas, with sporadic rainfall a possibility.

Despite the alert, the maximum temperature is expected to rise by 2-5 degrees Celsius over the next 48 hours. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature in Patna was recorded at 34.2 degrees Celsius, with Dehri registering the highest maximum temperature of 37.4 degrees Celsius.
Temporary Relief By Rain
Sporadic rainfall was recorded in some areas, including:
Nalanda: 1.4 mm rainfall in Hilsa and 1.2 mm in Nalanda
Patna: 1.2 mm rainfall in Fatuha and 0.4 mm in Daniyawan
Araria: 1 mm rainfall
Vaishali: 0.5 mm rainfall

Gaya: 1.2 degrees Celsius increase
Banka: 2.6 degrees Celsius increase
Begusarai: 3.6 degrees Celsius increase
Nalanda: 5.3 degrees Celsius increase
