Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, urged an IAS officer on Wednesday to finish a development project. The incident took place at the JP Ganga Pathway's Phase 3 opening ceremony, which is also known as Patna's Marine Drive. Nitish Kumar cited the Kangan Ghat-Ashok Rajpath linking route when conversing with the IAS officer. He asked that he finish the project.
"Kahiye to hum aapka pair chhu lete hain (I shall touch your feet if that is what you want),” said Nitish Kumar as the horrified official scurried back several steps.
"Sir, please don't do this," said the officer.

Tejashwi Yadav, the leader of the RJD, attacked the Nitish Kumar government after posting a video of the event on X.
"When the credibility of governance is lost and the ruler lacks self-confidence, then he has to put aside principles, conscience and ideas and bow down to everyone from top to bottom. However, we are not worried about the chair but about the present and future of Bihar and 14 crore Biharis," he wrote.
The JP Ganga Path, sometimes referred to as Patna's Marine Drive, was constructed by the Bihar government. The goal of the project was to reduce traffic between Patna's eastern and western regions, which are separated by many rivers.
