Bihar Rains: Incessant rainfall has severely affected the lives of many people across Bihar. As many as eight people have died and eight others were injured in three districts due to lightning on Tuesday. In this case, two people have died in Rohtas, four in Bhojpur, and two in Gaya.

These individuals were reportedly sowing crops in the field and grazing cattle during the incidents.

The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Raj Kumar Sah of Dhanej village in the Kargahar block area of Rohtas and 19-year-old Sajni Kumari, who was transplanting crops in the wasteland of Karaundi village in the Natwar police station area.

Moreover, six people were severely burned due to lightning at several places in the Chenari police station area. Their condition is said to be critical. Four people died in Ara, Jagdishpur, and Tarari of Bhojpur. Whereas, two people were burned.

The deceased included Rajveer Paswan, 28, who was grazing cattle in Chanda village, Sikarhta police station area; Devanti Devi, 62, grazing cattle in Mungaul village, Jagdishpur police station area; Pooja Kumari, 19, sowing in the Shivganj Tola barren land, Teer police station area; and Rajkumar Pal, 22, a resident of Bankat village, grazing sheep in the Vikrampur village barren land.

In Bihar, lightning strikes have resulted in 10 deaths, while rain-related incidents in Uttar Pradesh have claimed five lives. Many districts in Haryana and Punjab have experienced heavy rainfall.
