School,Bank Holiday In Bihar: As Bihar awaits the results of the Assembly Elections 2025, several schools across the state are set to remain closed on Friday, November 14, when the vote counting takes place. The decision comes as part of administrative measures to ensure smooth and secure election operations.
According to official directives, schools designated as polling stations or those located near counting centers will stay closed. The Election Commission has also declared the day a paid holiday for eligible voters, allowing citizens to participate freely in the democratic process.
In Patna district, the District Election Officer-cum-District Magistrate has ordered all schools to remain closed to facilitate traffic management and maintain public order during the counting process. The main counting center for the district will be A.N. College, Patna, where counting will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday. The process will cover all 14 assembly constituencies in the district.

To ensure security, special arrangements have been made around A.N. College and nearby areas, with restrictions on vehicle movement expected throughout the day.
Similar directives have been issued in Muzaffarpur, where all government and private schools, as well as coaching institutes within the Municipal Corporation area and adjoining Bochahan and Mushhari blocks, will remain closed on Friday. Local authorities say the step has been taken “in public interest” to enable a smooth counting process.
