Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) founder Tej Pratap Yadav, who was recently expelled from Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), sparked speculation about a post-poll alliance in Bihar on Friday amid the assembly elections. He was seen at the Patna airport with BJP MP Ravi Kishan, where he stated, “I will be with anyone who removes unemployment.”

Speaking to news agency ANI, Yadav said, “I said from the beginning that I am with whoever eliminates unemployment and provides employment.” He has also lauded the actor-turned-politician, describing him as a ‘devotee of god.’

“It is just that I am meeting Ravi Kishan for the first time. Of course, he and I are on the same page when it comes to our devotion to Lord Shiva. Both of us wear the 'tika' on our foreheads,” he added.

The two arrived at the Patna airport following a day of intensive campaigning. While Tej Pratap Yadav was campaigning in Gaya for his party’s candidates, the BJP MP addressed rallies in East and West Champaran, news agency PTI reported.

BJP MP Ravi Kishan Hints At Possibilities

When asked about the praise Yadav has been receiving from senior BJP leaders, Kishan stepped in and said, “It is his heart that is earning people's praise." Pressed further on whether there is a possibility of Yadav joining the BJP, Kishan added, “Anything can happen. BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi keep doors open for all devotees of Bholenath, who are devoted to selfless service and not in politics because of a personal agenda.”

Tej Pratap Vows Never To Return To RJD

Earlier this year, the JJD chief was expelled from the RJD, with his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, severing all family ties over Pratap’s 12-year relationship with a woman, a claim he has denied. Following his expulsion from RJD, he floated the JJD.

The Hasanpur MLA, who is trying his luck from the previous seat of Mahua, has firmly stated that he will not return to RJD, even if it means choosing ‘death’.

“I would choose death over returning to that party. I am not hungry for power. Principles and self-respect are supreme for me. The biggest thing for me is to work for the people. I sincerely do that, and people love and trust me,” he told PTI.

The BJP MP avoided commenting on Yadav’s expulsion, saying, “Now, do not ask me such questions. These are election times. Rest assured, though, that the people of Bihar are wise enough to discern right from wrong.”
