Bihar News: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday attended Saraswati Puja, organised by the ruling Janata Dal (United) in Patna, where he took part in traditional rituals and interacted with party members. The presence of his son, Nishant Kumar, and a brief exchange with senior leader Lalan Singh regarding Nishant’s potential entry into politics have sparked speculation.

According to a Jagran.com report, when the Chief Minister arrived at the event, his son, Nishant Kumar, was already at the puja site. On seeing him, Nitish Kumar asked, “When did you come here?” to which Nishant replied, “It’s been half an hour.”

Senior JDU leader Lalan Singh was seen patting Nishant Kumar on the back and urging him to enter politics, saying, “Now give in and enter politics.” Neither Nishant nor Chief Minister Nitish Kumar responded directly. Both of them smiled and remained composed, avoiding any political comment. Nishant’s presence at the event sparked discussions about his potential entry into active politics, Jagran.com report added.

When asked about his entry into politics, Nishant stated that he was at the event to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, adding, “My father has also come to seek blessings, and I have come to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.”
