Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey announced that on June 21, International Yoga Day will be celebrated across the state with widespread yoga practice and awareness activities. Events will be held in every ward, panchayat, block, subdivision, and district headquarters to highlight the importance of yoga.
Aligned with the National Ayush Mission and the Ministry of AYUSH’s theme, “One Earth, One Health,” various programs will take place in shelter homes, child reform homes, jails, safe places, and all Panchayat government offices.

The celebrations will also extend to Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Health Centres, Additional Primary Health Centres, District Hospitals, and Medical Colleges. Activities planned include yoga practice sessions, yoga dialogues, and yoga confluences.
Local health workers such as ANMs, Asha, and Mamta workers will select venues at the ward and panchayat levels and ensure maximum participation from the community. Special focus will be given to involving Jeevika sisters in organising and participating in these events to ensure the success of Yoga Day celebrations at the grassroots level.
