The official notification for SEBI Grade A, 2025, has been released in order to invite applications for 110 Assistant Manager Grade 'A' positions in its seven different streams: General, Legal, Information Technology, Research, Official Language, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The online application process will start on 30th October 2025 on SEBI's website.
SEBI Grade A 2025 Vacancy Breakdown

Eligibility Criteria for SEBI Grade A 2025
For eligibility, the candidate should not be more than 30 years of age as of September 30, 2025 (i.e., born on or after October 1, 1995). Minimum educational qualifications differ according to the stream.
General Stream
Master's Degree or 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma in any discipline, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Engineering, or
Professional qualifications such as CA, CS, CFA, or Cost Accountant
Legal Stream
A degree in law from a recognized university.
Information Technology (IT)
Bachelor’s in Engineering in any branch, or
Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and 2 years Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology.
Research Stream
Master's Degree or 2-year Post-Graduate Diploma in:
Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, or similar fields, or
Finance-related disciplines such as Quantitative Finance, International Finance, or Project & Infrastructure Finance, or
Statistics, data science, AI, machine learning, big data analytics or
Mathematics with a 1-year PG Diploma in Statistics or related subjects.
Official Language Stream
Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English at the graduation level, or
Master’s in Sanskrit, English, Economics, or Commerce with Hindi at the graduation level, or
Master's in English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.
Engineering Streams
Civil Engineering: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
Electrical Engineering: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
SEBI Grade A 2025 Selection Process
Recruitment will be done in three phases:
Phase I - Online Exam: Objective-type paper comprising two sections, viz., one common and one stream-specific.
Phase II - Online Exam: Consists of a descriptive English paper and another stream-specific paper.
Phase III - Interview: The candidates who clear the written stages will appear for the personal interview.
Salary, Benefits, and Posting Details
SEBI Grade A officers will be selected with a pay scale of ?62,500 – ?1,26,100 for 17 years, with an approximate starting gross monthly salary of ?1.84 lakh without accommodation and ?1.43 lakh in case of accommodation in Mumbai.

Overview of SEBI Grade A Syllabus 2025
Paper 1: Common for all streams:

Paper 2 (Stream-specific):
Covers the subjects of Commerce, Accountancy, Finance, Costing, Economics, and Company Law for the General stream.
Descriptive Paper (Phase II):
