The market value of Adani group stocks including - Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Adani Green, and Adani Transmission has soared in the past few months. Sometimes in the stock market, the timing of your investment is very important, and this is especially true for Adani group companies. Earlier this year, when the US Short seller Hindenburg Research’s report accused Adani Family of fraud, investors started doubting their investment in Adani shares.

At a time when many of us were sceptical about the future of Indian conglomerate GQG Partners CIO Rajiv Jain took a big risk by making strong bets on Adani group stocks. When the shares of group companies saw a selloff, Rajiv Jain made a grand prediction of doubling his almost $2 billion bet on the Gautam Adani-led conglomerate. “These could be multi-baggers” over five years,” he said. Now, almost three months down the line we see that Jain’s investment in Adani stocks has paid off.

After doubling its bet on Adani Group stocks in the last few months, GQG Partners has seen the market value of its investments soaring on account of the rally in the group stocks.

Given the current share price of Adani firms in which Jain had invested in the past few months, the drastic rise in shares of most of the Adani Group companies since April has taken the total market value of Jain’s investment to nearly Rs 25,000 crore.

Based on the shareholding data available with exchanges, Rajiv Jain’s investment firm cumulatively holds around 16% stake in five Adani Group companies.
