Adani Group Stock:  The stocks of Adani Group companies were in the news on Thursday with flagship Adani Enterprises rising 8 per cent amid news of its possible inclusion in the 30-share BSE Sensex. Adani Enterprises rose by 8.01 per cent to Rs 3,391.20 on the BSE. The BSE is likely to announce its half-yearly review on Friday. The changes in the constituents are expected to take place on June 21.

"We expect inclusion of Adani Enterprises and exclusion of Wipro from Sensex," according to a note by IIFL Alternative Research.

Meanwhile, buying was witnessed in the shares of other companies of the group. The shares of NDTV rose by 7.56 percent,  Adani Power rose by 2.79 percent, Adani Total Gas rose by 2.30 percent, Adani Ports rose by 4.72 percent, ACC rose by 2.86 percent, and Ambuja Cements rose by 2.09 percent.

The share of Adani Wilmar rose by 1.85 percent, Adani Green Energy rose by 1.25 percent and Adani Energy Solutions rose by 1.17 percent.

The combined market valuation of all the 10 listed companies of the group stood at Rs 17.23 lakh crore. On Wednesday, Adani Group’s market capitalisation regained the US$200 billion (Rs 16.9 lakh crore) mark as its listed companies gained Rs 11,300 crore after investors bet on the company’s coal supply to the Tamil Nadu power company. The company refuted any wrongdoing.

In the equity market, Sensex and Nifty touched lifetime highs. The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex closed at an all-time high of 75,418.04, up 1,196.98 points or 1.61 percent. NSE Nifty reached nearly 23,000 points during the day. It rose 369.85 points or 1.64 percent to 22,967.65.
