Increasing market presence

Reports suggest that AWL Agri-Business is planning to expand its product range by introducing new items in the affordable and premium kitchen essentials segments in FY26. The strategy is aimed at capitalising on rising urban demand, which is likely to be bolstered by the recent income tax cuts announced in the Union Budget.

The company is investing heavily in a Rs 1,300 crore food processing facility in Sonipat, Haryana. It commenced operations last month. The plant will focus on edible oils and a variety of food products, underlining the company’s commitment to strengthen its position in the agribusiness sector.

Corporate developments

In October 2024, Adani Enterprises decided not to merge its food and FMCG divisions with Adani Wilmar, citing the need to comply with the Minimum Public Shareholding (MPS) norms. The recent rebranding reflects a strategic shift to prioritize agriculture and food production over FMCG focus.

With its new identity, AWL Agri Business Limited is poised to drive innovation and broaden its presence in the rapidly changing agribusiness landscape.
