BHEL shares rose 9% on Thursday after the company stated it had secured an order worth over Rs 3,500 crore from Adani Power Limited to establish a thermal power project in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The stock climbed 14.57 percent to Rs 292.45 during the day on the BSE. It eventually closed at Rs 278.15 per share, up 8.97 percent.

On the NSE, it rose 14.48 percent to Rs 292.35 during the day. The stock ultimately closed 9% higher at Rs 278.50 per share. The company's market valuation increased from Rs 7,973.93 crore to Rs 96,853.59 crore.

Adani Power shares also rose 8.79 percent to Rs 790 during the day on the BSE. Later, it settled at Rs 749.20 each, up 3.17 percent. Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) stated in a stock exchange filing on Wednesday that it signed a contract agreement on June 5 for the supply of equipment (boiler, turbine, and generator) and supervision of installation and commissioning of a 2 x 800 MW power project based on supercritical power. technology.

The company said the total value of the order is more than Rs 3,500 crore, excluding GST. The boiler and turbo generator will be manufactured at its Trichy and Haridwar plants, respectively, BHEL said.
