Three corridors, which include a corridor for energy, mineral, and cement, another to boost port connectivity, and a third one to address the high traffic density will be set up, Nirmala Sitharaman announced in her budget speech.
The Finance Minister further added that the three corridors will be identified under the PM Gati Schme Shakti to enable multimodal connectivity. The corridor will enhance efficiency and reduce logistic costs.
The proposed corridors will de-congest the high-traffic corridors and give a way to improve operations for passenger trains, which would result in safety and higher travel speed for passengers. The proposed three economic corridors will further pave the way for our GDP growth and help in reducing logistics costs, said Finance.
