Other than Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani, there is one more Ambani probably you won’t be aware about. Nina Kothari, who is the wife of late businessman Bhadrashyam Kothari, is also a member of the Ambani family and daughter of Dhirubhai Ambani.

Nina Kothari is the owner and chairperson of Kothari Sugar and Chemicals Limited, with a market cap of Rs 342 crore.

Like her father, Nina began her entrepreneurial career in 2003 by founding Javagreen coffee and food franchise. In 1986, she got married to businessman Bhadrashyam Kothari, who died in 2015 due to cancer. She has two children — Arjun Kothari and Nayanthara Kothari.

After her husband’s death, Nina took the company to new heights by expanding the HC Kothari Group to additional industries after taking over as chair. Kothari Petrochemicals Limited and Kothari Safe Deposits Limited are two additional Kothari Group companies in the portfolio.

According to corporate shareholdings, she holds two stocks publicly and has total assets worth over Rs 52.4 crores. The company has a market cap of Rs 342 billion. Her company is also known for her business work.

Nina attends all the Ambani’s events and other high-profile events but still has mastered the art of remaining invisible in front of the media. Very limited photographs of her are available and her public appearances remain negligible.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara on the other hand is married to Shamit Bhartia, the son of Shyam and Shobhana Bhartia, and grandson of KK Birla.
