Future And Options Stocks: Investors trading in Future and Options (F&)) should be aware that from tomorrow i.e. February 28, trading will be discontinued in 16 stocks. These stocks will be removed from the F&O segment as the February series comes to an end on Thursday.
The stocks leaving the F&O segment include Abbott India, Atul, Bata India, Can Fin Homes, IPCA Labs, Coromandel International, City Union Bank, GNFC, IndiaMART, Metropolis Healthcare, Dr. Lal Pathlabs, Navin Fluorine, PVR INOX, Sun TV, United Breweries, and Gujarat Gas.
Leading up to their removal, these stocks experienced notable unwinding. Can Fin Homes fell nearly 5% on Tuesday, while Atul Limited dropped 3% on the same day and another 1.5% on Thursday. Dr Lal Pathlabs saw a decline of 3.5% in today’s session, following a 6% drop on Tuesday. Navin Fluorine and Gujarat Gas also encountered selling pressure, each declining by over 3%.

As these stocks exit the F&O segment, new ones are set to take their place. Starting February 28, IREDA and Tata Technologies will be added to the F&O trading list, offering new opportunities for traders and investors.

Benchmark stock indices Sensex and Nifty ended trading largely unchanged on Thursday as foreign fund withdrawals and monthly derivatives expiry weighed on the sentiment.
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 10.31 points, or 0.01 per cent, higher at 74,612.43. During the day, it touched a high of 74,834.09 and a low of 74,520.78, ending with a swing of 313.31 points. Nifty 50, the index of NSE, fell 2.50 points, or 0.01 per cent, to 22,545.05, registering a seventh day of decline. 31 Nifty constituents fell, while 19 advanced.
