Gold prices in India are expected to respond on Monday to the latest geopolitical tensions following the US airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, which have intensified instability in the Middle East. Additionally, shifts in US trade tariff policies are likely to influence investor sentiment. Although precious metals declined last week due to a stronger US dollar, the fall was limited, with 24 carat gold prices holding firm above Rs 100,000 per 10 grams.

As of the latest update, the 24-carat gold price stands at Rs 1,00,750 per 10 grams, while 100 grams is priced at Rs 10,07,500. In the 22-carat segment, gold is available at Rs 92,340 for 10 grams and Rs 9,23,400 for 100 grams. Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 75,550 per 10 grams and Rs 7,55,500 for 100 grams.

Despite these recent declines, gold prices across all carats have risen by 3.5 percent in June 2025.

"The Fed pushed back expectations of any imminent rate cut, which led to unwinding recent gains in Comex gold as well. However, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing conflict involving Iran and Israel, have limited the downside for gold. The safe-haven demand continues to underpin sentiment amid uncertainty," said Jateen Trivedi, VP Research Analyst - Commodity and Currency, LKP Securities.
