Gold Rate Today: Gold prices in India witnessed a substantial upward surge on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with all common purities marking significant increases from the previous day's close. The cost of 24 karat gold jumped by an impressive Rs 125 per gram, while 22 karat gold also saw a considerable rise of Rs 115 per gram, reflecting robust demand in the market. Even 18 karat gold experienced a healthy increase of Rs 94 per gram.

The price for 24 karat gold, often referred to as 999 gold due to its high purity, reached Rs 12,202 per gram. Following suit, 22 karat gold, which is widely used for making jewelry, was priced at Rs 11,185 per gram.

The price for 18 karat gold also showed a strong upward movement, increasing to Rs 9,152 per gram.

Market analysts attribute the sharp performance of the yellow metal to strong international trends and consistent domestic demand, especially as the festive season approaches. Investors and consumers continue to view gold as a reliable and appreciating asset.
