Gold Rate Touches All-Time High On MCX
Gold rates were at a new Rs 99,178 per 10 grams at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX gold rates) in morning trade on Tuesday amid rising concerns over US Fed rate cuts and a trade war with China between US President Donald Trump and US Fed chief Jerome Powell reached an all-time high. The gold futures contract, which expired on June 5, jumped substantially to Rs 98,753 per 10 grams on the MCX and touched an intraday high of Rs 99,178 per 10 grams within a time. At around 9:54 am, the gold futures contract was trading at Rs 98,905.0, up 1.67% from the previous session’s closing price.
The weakness in the US dollar rate also supported a major rally in the yellow metal on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
