Hero Motocorp in Nepal:  Hero MotoCorp on Monday announced that it will set up a product assembly facility in Nepal in partnership with its new distributor CG Motors in the country.

The factory will be located in Nawalpur district and will have a capacity of 75,000 units per year, India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer said in a statement.

As per the company's statement operations will begin in March 2024.

"With their vast expertise and diversified business knowledge, Chaudhary Group (CG) will provide an enormous fillip to our operations here," Sanjay Bhan, said Hero MotoCorp Head-Global Business.

Hero MotoCorp entered Nepal in 2014. Over the years, the company has established itself as a major player in the country.

Soon, the company plans to further strengthen its operations across the country and introduce many new products that will stimulate the market.

Nirwan Chaudhary, Managing Director, CG Group said that This partnership marks CG Motors' ambitious re-entry into the automobile market, leveraging Hero MotoCorp's renowned products and services.

Hero MotoCorp sells models like Super Splendor, Glamour, HF Deluxe and Xplus 200 motorcycles in Nepal. The company also sells its scooters Destini 125, Maestro Edge and Pleasure+ in the market.

Hero is an Indian Two-wheeler manufacturer. It is a market leader in India and has a presence in African, Asian and Latin American continents as well.
