Indigo Removes Fuel Surchange: In a significant move, India's leading airline IndiGo on Thursday announced eliminating fuel surcharges on all its domestic and international flights. The decision will be effective from today i.e. January 04.
The fuel surcharge was introduced in October last year as aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices continue to rise. The decision comes as a relief to passengers. The removal of the fuel surcharge coincides with the recent ATF price reductions, positively affecting commuters.
As ATF prices are subject to change, IndiGo assures passengers that the airline will continue to adjust fares and related components in line with fluctuations in fuel prices or market conditions.
The airline in a statement said that Despite challenges posed by volatile fuel prices, IndiGo remains committed to providing its customers with affordable, timely, courteous and hassle-free travel experiences.
For the airline, the decision reflects its commitment to customer satisfaction and its ability to respond to the changing aviation landscape.
The surcharge waiver would lower the domestic and international travel with Indigo.
