ITR Deadline Extension: The official last date for filing the ITR for AY 2024-25 is a topic of discussion again after several people experienced glitches on the official portal. According to the announcement made by the IT Department on Monday, the last date for filing the ITR was extended from September 15 to September 16, 2025.

Taxpayers have complained about issues including the portal not loading, crashing suddenly, and showing errors even when files are fully uploaded.

Users Complain Of Glitches On X

Taxpayers have taken to the social media platform X to voice their frustrations.

Users stated that even after clearing their browser cache, trying different browsers, and using different networks, the portal behaves as if it was "dead."

One user commented on the portal’s slow speed, satirically stating that every click "feels like he is preparing for ISRO launch clearance."

Will ITR Deadline Be Extended Again?

As of now, the authorities have not informed about any further extension for ITR filing.

Taxpayers Advised to File ITR Before The Due Date

Taxpayers are advised to file their ITR returns by the current due date, otherwise they will have to face severe penalties on income and earnings. The IT Dept has advised users to clear all their browser cache or try a different browser to resolve issues.
