Why are Metal stocks falling?
The weakness in shares of the metal company is largely due to a sharp decline in base metal and silver prices. At the time of writing, Comex Silver was down 2.91 per cent, Comex Copper was trading 1.23 per cent lower, and Comex Aluminium was dragged 1.11 per cent.
Meanwhile, in the domestic futures market, MCX Silver plunged 3.37 per cent to Rs 2,42,166 per kilogram. MCX Copper was down 2.18 per cent, and MCX Zinc was trading 1.15 per cent lower.
The earnings, including the revenue, margins and cash flows of these companies, are directly linked to global commodity trends.
