Mother Dairy's statement

In a statement, Mother Dairy said that the company is increasing the prices of its liquid milk by Rs 2 per liter across all operating markets with effect from June 03, 2024. The increase in the consumer price is mainly to compensate producers for the rising cost of production, which has been increasing for more than a year.

Mother Dairy, which currently sells 35 lakh liters of fresh milk per day in Delhi-NCR, said that it had last revised its liquid milk prices in February 2023. Despite paying higher prices for milk procurement in the last few months, consumer prices were retained. Further, Mother Dairy said that the heat wave across the country is unprecedented and this is likely to have an impact on milk production as well.
