Budget: Parliament's Monsoon session could begin on July 22nd, following a customary 15-day break between ongoing sessions, which has begun after general elections. The Economic Survey will be tabled on July 23rd, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is expected to present the full budget for 2024-25 on July 24th, a Financial Express report said citing sources. However, no official announcement has yet been made about the final dates for the Monsson session, and they will likely be announced soon.

Earlier, in her joint address to parliament members, President Draupadi Murmu said that in its third term, the Narendra Modi government's first budget will deliver far-reaching economic and social reforms to foster rapid development. She stressed that the poor, women, youth, and farmers are at the heart of the policy-making process and that this budget will incorporate several historic measures to make India a developed nation.

The President further stated that a stable government with a clear majority is vital for India to achieve its objectives and continue on the path of becoming a developed country. She described the forthcoming budget as an effective document that reflects the government's long-term policies and future goals, including critical economic and social decisions.

Sitharaman presented an interim budget on February 1st, which did not include any major policy changes or concessions for the middle class. It is expected that the final decision about the dates for tabling the full budget and compiling the Economic Survey will be announced soon.
