FAStag:  In its January 31 order, the Reserve Bank Of India asked Paytm Payments Bank to stop its operations, including accepting any fresh deposits in existing accounts, wallets, and FAStag post-February 29. Recently, the central bank has extended the deadline to March 15.

Bank deposits, credit transactions or top-ups will not be allowed in any customer accounts, prepaid instruments, wallets, FASTags, or national common mobility cards after March 15, RBI said.

Existing Paytm FASTag customers can pay tolls using their existing account balance, but no top-ups will be allowed after March 15.

Considering the recent development, FASTag customers of Paytm have to either deactivate their account and open a new one with another FASTag service provider or they need to transfer their FASTag account.

Steps to Paytm deactivate FASTag

Paytm FASTag Customers should Dial 1800-120-4210.

Next, Tel your registered mobile number and the Vehicle Registration Number (VRN), you can provide your Tag ID instead.

- Paytm customer support executive will confirm the closure FASTag.

Second Method

- Visit the Paytm app on your phone and click on the profile icon.

- Tap on the "Help & Support" option and find the "Banking Services & Payments" option, You will get the "FASTag." option inside

- You will find the "Chat with us" option, click on it and there you have to request to deactivate your FASTag account.

How to buy a new FASTag online?

- Go to Google Play Store or Apple App Store and Download the "My FASTag" app.

Next, Inside the app click on "Buy FASTag" to redirect to the e-commerce link.

- Buy the FASTag there and it will be delivered to your given address soon.

How to activate FASTag online?

- Visit "My FASTag" app and find 'Activate FASTag'

- Click on Activate FASTag

- Choose either Amazon or Flipkart

- Enter the FASTag ID or you can scan the QR code as well.

- Submit your vehicle details.

- Your FASTag will be activated.

You can also buy FASTag from the authorised banks as well.

Note: A vehicle is not allowed to have multiple FastTags and only the latest FastTag attached to the vehicle is active.
