PM Kisan 16th Installment: The Union government will release the 16th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on Wednesday i.e February 28, as per information updated on PM Kisan's official website.
As per sources, PM Modi will transfer more than Rs 21000 crore to the bank accounts of 9 crore eligible farmers from a to be held in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.
What is PM Kisan?
Narendra Modi government started the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on February 24, 2019, to provide financial help to the marginal farmers of the country. Eligible farmers get Rs 6000 annually, which is released in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. 15th installments of the scheme have been released so far, amounting to more than Rs 2.81 lakh crore.

To know whether a farmer has received the benefit of the 16th Installment of Kisan Nidhi or not, He/she needs to check his name in the final list.
Steps to check PM Kisan beneficiary status
- Go to the official website of PM Kisan.
- Click on the beneficiary status
- Enter your mobile number or registration number and verify the captcha code.
- Click on the submit button
- You will have a list on your screen
E-KYC Mandatory For PM Kisan Scheme
The Union government has made e-KYC and land registry mandatory for the beneficiaries of the scheme. This means the 16th installment of PM Kisan Samman Yojana will be transferred into the bank accounts of only those farmers who have done e-KYC and land verification.
