PM Kisan 20th Installment Date: The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), launched by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, offers financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers, distributed in three equal installments. According to media reports, the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme is likely to be credited to farmers' bank accounts today. Sources suggest that Prime Minister Modi, who is scheduled to visit Bihar today, may release the instalment during his tour. However, there is no official confirmation yet.
Every four months, Rs 2,000 is directly transferred to beneficiaries' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Whose Money Can Get Delayed?
As per the government order, farmers who have not completed their e-KYC may face delays in receiving payments. To avoid this, complete your e-KYC today by visiting a nearby CSC center or through the official portal. Also, ensure your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar, as unlinked accounts may result in payment issues.

What Is the PM Kisan Scheme?
The PM-Kisan scheme is a central sector initiative fully funded by the Government of India, which became operational on December 1, 2018. It aims to provide income support to all landholding farmers across the country. However, certain categories of individuals are excluded from eligibility, including former and current constitutional office holders, elected representatives, government employees, retired personnel receiving a monthly pension above Rs 10,000, income tax payers, and professionals such as doctors, lawyers, engineers, chartered accountants, and architects. This scheme is designed to offer financial assistance directly to farmers to support their agricultural activities and livelihoods.
