Shaktikanta Das, the Reserve Bank Of India governor, has got an 'A+' rating for the second year in a row among all the chiefs of central banks across the globe. Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the governor and said that the rating is a recognition of his leadership.

RBI Governor Das is among the only three central bank governors who have been awarded an 'A+' rating from the Global Finance Magzine. Switzerland's Thomas Jordan and Denmark's Christian Kettel were the other two.

Mauritius Central Bnaks's Governor Harvesh Kumar Seegolam, Brazil's Roberto Campos Neto, Morocco's Abdellatif, Chile's Rosana Costa, South Africa's Lesetja Kganyago and Sri Lanka's Nandalal Weerasinghe were rated 'A'.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to laud the RBI's governor upon later's achievement.

"Congratulations to RBI Governor Shri @DasShaktikanta for this feat, and that too for the second time. This is a recognition of his leadership at the RBI and his work towards ensuring economic growth and stability," wrote PM Modi.

Earlier, Reserve Bank Of India shared the news on social sites that Governor Das has been rated 'A+' in the Global Finance Central Bank Report Card.
