RBI's action to increase liquidity?

In recent months, the RBI has taken several steps to ensure adequate liquidity in the economy. In January 2025, it announced that it would inject Rs. 1.5 lakh crore into the economy.

Another measure implemented by RBI to increase liquidity was the reduction in the Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) by 50 basis points in December 2024, which resulted in the release of Rs 1.16 lakh crore into the banking system. Such measures will increase liquidity and further stabilize the banking sector.
