The Shivraj government is constantly making efforts to reduce the unemployment rate in Madhya Pradesh. Along with government jobs, the government is now encouraging the youth to take up employment in the private sector as well. For this, the Shivraj government has started the 'Chief Minister's Learn Earn Scheme'. Under this scheme, youth are prepared for employment by training them in different sectors. The special thing is that the government also gives a stipend of up to Rs 10,000 to the youth during this training.

What is the plan?

Under the 'Mukhya Mantri Sikho Kamao Yojana', youth are trained for one year (the duration of some courses can be 6 and 9 months) in identified industrial and commercial establishments. The youth selected under the scheme will be called 'student-trainee'.
