BSE Market Cap: The market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE reached an all-time high of Rs 4,43,05,344.36 crore on Monday, boosted by a rebound in equities, with the benchmark Sensex ending at a new all-time high. The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 443.46 points or 0.56 percent to close at a new closing high of 79,476.19. During the session, it rose 528.27 points, or 0.66 percent, to 79,561.

The market capitalization of companies listed on the BSE reached a new record high of Rs 4,43,05,344.36 crore (US$ 5.31 trillion) amid an upbeat trend in equities. Among Sensex companies, Bajaj Finance, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consultancy Services, UltraTech Cement, Infosys, HDFC Bank, JSW Steel, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Motors, and ICICI Bank were the top gainers. State Bank of India, NTPC,   IndusInd Bank, Larsen & Toubro, and Bajaj Finserv were among the laggards.

In the broader market, the BSE Small-Cap Index jumped 1.58 percent and the BSE Mid-Cap Index rose 1.11 percent. Both the small and midcap indices reached all-time highs. Among the sectoral indices, information technology rose 1.84 percent, Tech jumped 1.46 percent, commodities (1.21 percent), communications 1.03 percent, industry (0.95 percent), and metals (0.73 percent).

Utilities, energy, and real estate were the laggards. The share prices of 2,656 shares rose, while the prices of 1,346 shares decreased, and 144 shares remained unchanged. Last week, the BSE index jumped 1,822.83 points or 2.36 percent, while the Nifty index rose 509.5 points or 2.16 percent. The Sensex recorded its best monthly gain in June, rising by 7.14 percent. The Sensex breached the historic level of 79,000 on Thursday, and the Nifty touched the 24,000 level for the first time in intraday trade.
