Stock Market Closing Bell: Domestic stock market benchmarks - Nifty 50 and Sensex - ended the trade almost flat on Tuesday. The Nifty 50 closed at 22,335.70, while Sensex ended at 73,667.96.
Sensex shares of HDFC Bank rose more than 2 per cent. The biggest gainers were TCS, Maruti, Infosys, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel and others.
State Bank of India, JSW Steel, ITC, Tata Motors, Ultratech Cement and Nestlé were the top losers.
Both the indices traded in the green in early trade
The Nifty 50 opened at 22,334.45 as compared to the previous close of 22,332.65 and hit its intraday high and low of 22,452.55 and 22,256 respectively during the session. The index rose 3 points to end at 22,335.70.

The Sensex opened at 73,516.42 as against its previous close of 73,502.64 and hit an intraday high and low of 74,004.16 and 73,342.12 respectively.
Global Markets
In Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.1 per cent and the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.4 per cent. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gained 3.1 per cent and South Korea’s Kospi rose 0.8 per cent.
Indices traded higher on European markets during mid-session deals. U.S. markets ended on a mixed note on Monday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude rose 0.86 per cent to US$82.92 a barrel.
