Domestic benchmark equity indices maintained their winning momentum for the third consecutive session on Tuesday morning, with the Nifty index reaching a fresh all-time high amid inflows of foreign money and a rally in US markets.
The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 185.55 points to 80,850.41 in early morning trading. The NSE Nifty climbed 63.35 points to reach a new all-time high of 24,650.05.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Infosys, Adani Ports, ICICI Bank, and Titan were the biggest gainers in the Sensex pack. Larsen & Toubro, Power Grid, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Axis Bank were among the losers.
According to stock exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased stocks worth Rs 2,684.78 crore on Monday. In Asian markets, Seoul and Tokyo were trading higher, while Shanghai and Hong Kong were trading lower.
US markets ended in positive territory on Monday. The price of global benchmark Brent crude fell 0.27 percent to $84.62 per barrel. The BSE Sensex climbed 145.52 points, or 0.18 percent, to settle at a new record high of 80,664.86 on Monday. The NSE Nifty rose 84.55 points, or 0.35 percent, to settle at an all-time closing high of 24,586.70.
