Stock Market:  Following a rebound in global markets and fresh foreign capital inflows, equity benchmark indices climbed in early trade on Tuesday. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 241.68 points to 81,801.22, and the NSE Nifty climbed 78.4 points to 25,014.80.

Power Grid, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Larsen & Toubro, and Titan were the biggest gainers among the 30 Sensex companies.

Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Kotak Mahindra Bank were among the laggards. In Asian markets, Seoul, Tokyo, and Hong Kong are trading in green while Shanghai's market is in red.

"With an overnight rebound on Wall Street, strong net buying from both FIIs and DIIs and sluggish oil prices, bullish traders are expected to pursue bargains," Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities Ltd, said.

U.S. markets ended significantly higher on Monday. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors purchased equities worth Rs 1,176.55 crore on Monday, while domestic institutional investors also purchased equities worth Rs 1,757.02 crore.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, fell 0.08 percent to US$71.78 a barrel.

Sensex, the index of the top 30 stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), rebounded by 375.61 points or 0.46 percent to 81,559.54 on Monday. While, Nifty 50, the index of top 50 shares on NSE, climbed 84.25 points or 0.34 percent to end at 24,936.40. The market traded in green after a three-day decline.
