Stock Market Today: The stock market began Wednesday, July 16, 2025, on a weak note, influenced by negative global cues. Equity benchmarks opened with a low tone this morning as BSE 30-share sensitive index opened at 82,459 showed a marginal dip of 36 points 0.1 per cent  from its previous close of 82,534.91 points on July 15.

The Nifty 50 also opened nearly flat, at 25,154 which is a decline of 0.1 percent, from its Tuesday close of 25,195.80.

This week's stock benchmarks have been influenced by a lack of strong global cues and continued vigilance over corporate earnings. Market sentiment is being shaped by several factors, including the ongoing Q1 earnings season. Major companies are scheduled to announce their financial performance reports today and in the coming days, which could provide further direction to the market.
