Thalapathy Vijay, an actor turned politician whose newly formed party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is most likely to emerge as the biggest party in the Tamil Nadu assembly election, has a net worth of over Rs 600 crore. In the election affidavit for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly election, the Tamil Superstar Vijay declared assets worth over Rs 603, including approximately Rs 404 crore in movable assets and over Rs 198 crore in immovable property.

Banks Deposits, Premium Properties And Luxury Cars

As per the affidavit, Vijay holds a significant portion of his wealth in liquid assets like bank deposits-- exceeding Rs 213 crore. Additionally, he has multiple investments, spreading across multiple accounts and financial instruments.

According to media reports, Vijay also owns premium properties in Chennai-- A sea-facing bungalow in Neelankarai, Chennai, valued between Rs 70–80 crore.

He also holds agricultural land in Kodaikanal, as well as other commercial and residential properties.

In addition to all, Vijay has a collection of high-end luxury cars, including BMW models, Lexus, and Toyota Vellfire and others.

Leading In Tamil Nadu Election

Vijay formed Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), a political party, months ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly elections. The TVK chief is contesting from two seats-- the Perambur and Trichy East constituencies.

In early trends, Vijay's party is leading in over 100 seats out of 234 constituencies.

Source Of Earnings: Vijay's major source of earnings has been films and brand endorsements. He reportedly charges over 100 crore for a film in recent years.
