Trent share price fell as much as over 8 per cent during the intraday trading on Tuesday after the Tata Group-owned retail chain operator's third-quarter earnings failed to please investors.

The stock started the session in red at Rs 4,208.30 against last session's closing of Rs 4,429.80, driven by higher-than-usual trading volumes. The Tata Group's stock further declined by over 8 per cent to hit an intraday low at Rs 4,060 per share on NSE. At around 11:12 AM, the Trent shares were trading at Rs 4,097.10, down 7.51 per cent on NSE.

Trent Q3 Earnings Report

Earlier, after the stock market closed on Monday, the company, in an exchange filing, informed that its standalone revenue in the December quarter rose 17 per cent to Rs 5,220 crore compared with Rs 4,466 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago. 

Revenue growth remained stable compared to the previous quarter and in line with the 17 per cent year-over-year growth recorded in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026.

This growth was slower than that recorded in the third, fourth, and first quarters of fiscal year 2026, raising concerns about a potential slowdown.

Meanwhile, store expansion remained strong. As of December 31, 2025, Trent operated 278 Westside stores and 854 Zodio stores, including four in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the exchange filing, It also operated 32 stores within other lifestyle concepts.

During the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, the company added 17 new Westside stores and 48 new Zodio stores. AT the same time, net additions for the nine months totaled 30 Westside stores and 89 Zodio stores.

According to the latest data, during the last 30 days, the Tata Group stock remained flat, while last 6 months it fell by over 25 per cent. In one year, the stock dipped 41.49 per cent.
