Voltas Shares Today: The shares of Voltas Ltd, an air conditioning and engineering services provider, fell over 9 percent after the company reported a 22.75 percent decrease in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. The stock fell 9.13 percent to Rs 1,261.65 on the BSE. It dropped 9.15 percent to Rs 1,262 on the NSE. On Tuesday, Voltas Ltd reported a 22.75 percent decrease in its March quarter consolidated net profit to Rs 110.64 crore due to higher expenses.
Today, Voltas shares opened at Rs 1,280 and fell to a low of Rs 1,262. At around 11:45 AM, the shares were trading at Rs 1,313.80 with a decline of 5.51%. The 52-week high of Voltas shares is Rs 1,502.30 and the low is Rs 745.
In the same period of the last financial year, the company had a consolidated net profit of Rs 143.23 crores. The company's consolidated operating income in the quarter under review stood at Rs 4,202.88 crores, which was Rs 2,956.8 crores in the same period a year ago. The company's total expenses in the fourth quarter increased to Rs 4,044.90 crores from Rs 2,761.45 crores in the same period a year ago.

Voltas said that its consolidated net profit for the full financial year ended March 31, 2024, was Rs 248.11 crores as compared to Rs 136.22 crores in the previous year. The integrated operating income of the company in the financial year 2023-24 stood at Rs 12,481.21 crores as compared to Rs 9,498.77 crores.
The company said it has achieved the milestone of sales of 20 lakh ACs in 2023-24. Voltas said its board of directors has recommended a dividend of Rs 5 per share with a face value of Re 1 per share for the year 2023-24, subject to the approval of the company's shareholders.
Voltas shares have fallen by more than 12 percent in the last 5 days. However, in the last six months, this stock has given excellent returns of about 60 percent. So far in the year 2024, Voltas has registered a growth of more than 33 percent and in the last year, it has gained about 62 percent.
