IND vs AUS 3rd Test: India will lock horns with Australia for the third Test match of the ongoing five-match Test series and all the focus will be on India's star batter Virat Kohli. His illustrious international career has been through a lot of ups and downs. He is currently seen struggling in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy and got out after scoring just five runs during the first innings of the series opener.

In the second Test match in Adelaide, he scored 7 and 11 runs respectively in both innings. Although, he did bounce back for a while as he smashed his 30th Test hundred in the second innings of the first Test match.

The Rohit Sharma-led side will bounce back in the third Test match since everything would be at stake for them after losing the second Test match in Adelaide. Now that the five-match series is leveled at 1-1, all eyes would be on the Men in Blue, who would try to make a comeback in the upcoming Test match.

Virat Kohli's record in Gabba, Brisbane

It should be noted here that before the much-awaited third Test between India and Australia, India's star batter Virat Kohli has featured in just one match at this venue, and that too way back in 2014.

At that time, he batted on a tricky surface and scored just 19 runs during the first innings and was dismissed after scoring one run in the second innings. The surface provided extra bounce and gave Kohli a hard time as he was seen struggling to score big.

Considering his performance at the Gabba, it can be clearly said that he has a poor record at this venue.

It should be noted here that Virat Kohli left the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy midway post the pink ball Test in Adelaide, where the visitors were skittled out for just 36 runs during the first innings. He pulled out from the rest of the Test series due to the birth of his daughter, Vamika.
