After putting up a show in the Asia Cup 2025, Abhishek Sharma is back and fulfilling the family duties, having shaken his leg during his sister Komal Sharma’s pre-wedding festivities in Ludhiana, alongside mentor and former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.

In the now-viral video, Sharma could be seen unleashing an energetic dance with popular Punjabi singer Ranjit Bawa, who performed live at the event. Yuvraj Singh was also spotted enjoying the festivities and shaking a leg.

The video quickly gained traction, sparking a flurry of reactions celebrating the Singh-Sharma moment. "Left-handers are the finest," a user wrote. "Brother has batted brilliantly. Celebration is in order," another user commented.

"Abhishek Sharma is living a dream of many man," a third user reacted.

Sharma, who was named Player of the Tournament for his brilliant performance in the Asia Cup, smashed 314 runs in seven innings, including three consecutive fifties. He extended his lead at the top of the ICC T20I batting rankings, pulling 82 rating points clear of second-placed Phil Salt of England.

In a remarkable run that saw him finish as the leading run-scorer of the Asia Cup 2025 and earn the Player of the Tournament award, the Indian opener scripted history as he broke a long-standing record by reaching an all-time high rating of 931 points, the highest ever recorded in T20I history.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), Sharma surpassed the previous best of 919 points, set by England’s Dawid Malan in 2020. What makes the achievement even more extraordinary is that the 25-year-old only made his international debut last year.

"If you see, we had a plan that we want to play a game, you know, that we have to show intent from the first ball. So that was my plan. I worked really hard on that. And if you're playing like this, you need special support from your coach and captain. I think that was the one thing I was getting from them throughout the tournament, before this as well. So obviously, my plan was pretty much clear that, you know, if I do well, if I get that impact, and it's for my team, my team should win," Abhishek said after being adjudged as the Player of the Tournament.
