Afghanistan vs Hong Kong, Asia Cup 2025: Afghanistan will be up against Hong Kong in the first match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday, September 9.

Both teams are drawn in Group B alongside Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The tournament will be played in the T20 format in this edition. There may not be a better time for Hong Kong to play Rashid Khan's men, and the fixture comes just two days after Afghanistan suffered a bruising defeat in the tri-series final against Pakistan.

A clueless batting performance against Pakistan's spinners on a turning track in Sharjah has hurt them badly ahead of the continental tournament. The AFG vs HK match will be played at 8 PM IST. Notably, Hong Kong is the only team to not win a single match despite featuring in both the T20 and ODI Asia Cups.
