Asia Cup 2025: The PCB on Sunday revealed a 17-member team for the upcoming T20I tri-series and the Asia Cup 2025. The team that has been picked for the continental tournament, which will be held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi next month, saw ex-skippers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan getting dropped.

With them getting dropped from the team didn't surprise the fans as both these players haven't played in T20Is for a long time now but for the Indian fans, who haven't been able to follow Pakistan cricket closely since the last few months as their social media handles and the live broadcast of their maches were banned in this country and thus they were left stunned.

Both Babar and Rizwan have been Pakistan's star players across formats, and way back in October 2021, they had played a huge role in helping the team defeat arch-rivals India by 10 wickets during the T20 World Cup in Dubai. Post that, both these players haven't performed consistently, and due to this, they have been dropped from the shortest format.

Salman Ali Agha would be leading the Men in Green from the front during the upcoming continental tournament, and the team includes players like Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, and Sahibzada Farhan. Since all these players have the skills to perform well, they haven't been able to prove their worth in international cricket.

From all these players who have been included in the Asia Cup team, Fakhar is the only batter who has been part of the list of the top 10 batters who have scored the most runs in this format.
