RCB vs GT IPL 2026 Final: Rajasthan Royals' star opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi journeyed to Ahmedabad to witness the IPL 2026 summit clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans. The match unfolds at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Rajasthan-based franchise battled its way to Qualifier 2 this year, where it fell to the Gujarat Titans by seven wickets. The teen sensation unleashed a brilliant 96 runs in that match, but his efforts were outshone. GT captain Shubman Gill hammered a century while chasing, overshadowing Sooryavanshi's gritty knock.

RCB skipper Rajat Patidar won the toss and opted to bowl first against the Gujarat Titans during the IPL 2026 summit clash. The Bengaluru-based franchise retained the same XI, while the Shubman Gill-led side introduced one change, drafting Arshad Khan for R Sai Kishore.

"We'll bowl first. (On the surface) It's a pretty good wicket. The ball should zip nicely onto the bat, but to be honest, the character of the pitch won't shift in 40 overs. So we'll hunt early wickets. (Mood in the dressing room for the final) Last year still lingers, but that was 2025. This is 2026. We must give our all to capture this match. (How you hold your nerve?) It's vital to ground yourself in the present, not rush ahead. Let's command the controllables, that's it. (On the support) We relish playing in this stadium thanks to the passionate crowd and especially the RCB supporters - the 12th man army. They pack every stadium and back us. (Team combination) The same team," Rajat Patidar said at the toss.

At the same time, GT skipper Shubman Gill stated, "(We would have batted first, honestly. The wicket looks inviting, and with it being the final, we want to pile up runs and put them under pressure. (On the surface) Classic wicket. We tackle this pitch for the third match now. It remains a true pitch. There may be some movement in the opening 2-3 overs for the pacers, but the wicket settles smoothly after that. (How are you feeling?) I sense the boys are amped. We stay fresh and eager. (On playing at this venue) One of the world's largest stadiums, if not the largest. Always electrifying and uplifting to feature on such a massive ground. We've seized a single chance. Arshad (Khan) checks in for Sai (Kishore)."
