Ashes 2025, Australia vs England 5th Test Updates: Steve Smith aims to end the ongoing Ashes 2025-26 series in style as he smashed an incredible century in the fifth and final Test match at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on Tuesday. Smith's century in the first innings helped Australia extend their first-innings lead over England on the third day.

Smith brought up his 37th Test century by running three runs on the second ball of the 110th over, bowled by Jacob Bethell. The right-handed batter, who is captaining Australia in the absence of Pat Cummins, went past former India skipper and head coach Rahul Dravid’s tally of 36 centuries. Dravid played a total of 164 red-ball matches from 1996 to 2012 and crossed the 100-run mark 36 times.
