Australia vs England 5th Test: A light-hearted interlude halted the proceedings on Day 3 of the SCG Ashes Test, as Australia's veteran batter Steve Smith requested a minor adjustment from England pacer Brydon Carse.
A whimsical pause was taken because of Carse's sunglasses, which, when caught by the Sydney sun, cast a blinding glare directly into Smith's eyes.
The hasty glare momentarily broke Smith's focus and the Australian batter made a courteous appeal as he strode down the pitch.
“Carsey! Can you just turn your glasses around? On the back,” Smith was heard saying on the stump mic.

Carse promptly acquiesced, shifting his sunglasses to the back of his head, on a cap, and with this, the play was recommenced. The lighthearted exchange brought smiles to the faces of players and spectators, adding a dash of lightness into the intensely fought Ashes contest.
Smith Leading Australia's Charge
Replying to England's first innings total of 384/10, the hosts were well placed at 234/3 when Smith came to bat. Smith cemented his place in Ashes legacy with his masterful century on Day 3, climbing to second spot in the list of players with most centuries in the storied rivalry.
With a remarkable milestone of 13th Ashes ton, Smith surpassed England legend Jack Hobbs' 12 Ashes centuries, placing him second only to Don Bradman's 19 hundreds in Ashes history. Moreover, Smith now has 3637 runs in Ashes Tests, having overtaken Hobbs' tally of 3636 runs.
