Asia Cup 2024, IND vs PAK: Wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson will seek to reach 1000 T20I runs as he stands 83 runs away from doing so. Notably, Samson will be the 12th Indian batter to achieve this feat if he gets to bat in the blockbuster clash against Pakistan on Sunday. Samson will be high on confidence as he is coming off a 45-ball 56 against Oman in India's previous Asia Cup encounter.
Interestingly, Samson smashed three boundaries and as many sixes in his innings.
In his career of 45 T20I matches with 39 innings, Samson has amassed 917 runs with an average of 26.20 and a strike rate of 150.32, including three centuries and three fifties, with his highest score being 111.
