IND vs PAK, Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan speedster Haris Rauf has landed himself in hot soup with his on-field aggression and abusive behaviour during the high-octane clash between the two arch-rivals in result he has been fined 30 per cent of his match fees, as per news agency PTI.

The tension flared when Rauf made a provocative '6-0' gesture towards the Indian fans while fielding near the boundary during the match against India. This was followed by a heated verbal exchange between the Pakistan pacer and Indian openers Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill earlier in the game, where the vice-captain had pulled a short ball for a boundary against Rauf.

"Haris Rauf fined 30 per cent of his match fees for abusive behaviour and aggressive gesture during Indo-Pak Asia Cup game," a tournament source told PTI.

"Match referee Richie Richardson had completed his hearing on Friday afternoon at the team hotel. Hars Rauf has been fined 30 percent of his match fees for aggressive behaviour and Farhan has been let off with a warning," a tournament source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

No action on Sahibzada Farhan

According to a PTI source, "Sahibzada Farhan let off with a warning for his gunshot celebration."

On the other hand, Sahibzada Farhan was let off with a warning for his provocative gun-firing celebration, according to tournament sources of PTI. The celebration quickly drew attention and criticism, and eventually resulted in a lenient action on the Pakistan opener.

The hearing was conducted by match referee Richie Richardson at the Pakistan team hotel here. Both the players appeared before him in person even though the responses given by them were in writing. They were accompanied by team manager Naveed Akram Cheema.

Earlier, Rauf and Farhan had pleaded not guilty during their ICC hearing for allegedly provocative actions in the match against India, according to tournament sources.
